Synopsis

Tristan Parker is lost.

After living through his parent’s bitter divorce, Tristan surprises everyone when he decides to uproot his life and move across the country with his dad. Disenchanted, Tristan deals with his pain by shutting out the world… until one day, when trying to retrieve a lost baseball, he climbs a tower and meets a girl.

Helena Thompson is like no one Tristan has ever encountered. She’s quirky, weird, and lives in an imaginary world—her only way of coping with the bizarre life her paranoid mother forces her to lead. Drawn by Helena’s magical view on life, Tristan finds himself returning often to the unique girl with the long golden hair. But spending time with her is not an easy task, especially because their relationship must be kept a secret.

When Helena’s mother discovers the truth, can Tristan find the strength to fight for the girl who has awakened his heart? Or will the paranoid woman who keeps her daughter under lock and key stop their dreams from coming true?

Review

I generously received this ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review!

I don’t even know where to begin with this one because I have so many thoughts running through my mind. This story was so unlike anything I have ever read from this author (both as Melissa Pearl and Jordan Ford), but once again she has captured me whole body and soul with this unique interpretation of the Rapunzel fairytale.

The story is told entirely in Tristan’s POV, which was certainly an interesting twist because we only got to see one side of the story. This aspect only added to the suspense of the book and is what left me on the edge of my seat until the very end. Every time I finish a book from this author I am left amazed and demanding her next book. She does an extraordinary job developing character and capturing her readers attention. The second I cracked open this story I knew I wasn’t going to get any sleep until I finished every inch of this book, which is exactly what happened. What I didn’t expect to happen was my heart needing two days to recover from this story before I was even able to begin my review. This story had me so lost in thought, that I was at a loss for words. Basically this story had me feeling sad, hopeful, happy and so much more.

Tristian is lost and trying to rediscover what makes him happy after his parents bitter divorce. He doesn’t know what to do until he finds himself climbing up a tower and discovering a beautiful girl named Helena. At only 15 years old she has already witnessed tragedy forced to be locked away in a house for her mother’s sake. Neither of these two expected to find love and yet that is exactly what happens, until another tragedy strikes. Get ready for a wild ride with this one of a kind modern look at the fairytale known as Rapunzel!

I generously received this ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review!

Hear No Evil is the final installment in the Brotherhood Trilogy and the perfect conclusion to this extraordinary series! Jordan Ford (aka Melissa Pearl) has done it again! Just like last time I didn’t think that this book could be better then book #1 – See No Evil, but this one has truly exceeded even my wildest of expectations! There is absolutely nothing that this author can’t do if she sets her mind to it and man does she deliver a killer book every single time. Hear No Evil was filled with double the amount of suspense and mystery as the first two books and had me on the edge of my seat until the very end. This book had so many twists and turns that I found myself going back to re-read particular scenes to make sure that I didn’t miss anything.

Finally we got to see Riley and Caitlin emotionally complex love story and I can’t believe how intense their story was. I though that the author did a great job at developing these characters in the previous books. Although we only met Caitlin briefly in book #2 – Speak No Evil, it felt like I knew her since the very beginning. I could feel her emotions pouring out of the pages, grabbing my heart and squeezing it tight until I could hardly breathe through the pain. Although I didn’t think I would, I bawled throughout so many parts of this book that I could hardly see through my tears at the end.

Overall, this book made my cry big fat crocodile tears and smile more then I thought I ever could. Even though I am sad to see this “family” go, I know that Jordan Ford ended it on the perfect note and tied up every loose end we saw in the previous books in the trilogy!

Synopsis

Kade Kingsley is sick of hiding out in the middle of nowhere.

He should be having a good time, partying and living it up, not playing bodyguard to his best friend’s runaway witness girlfriend.

When he decides to leave the mountainside he’s called home for the last two months, he promises to be careful. He knows the stakes are high, and he knows that the makeshift family he’s leaving behind is counting on him to come back.

What he doesn’t count on is getting mugged and left for dead.

And he definitely doesn’t count on being rescued by a girl with secrets of her own…secrets that rival his.

As Julienne Bishop, a down-on-her-luck girl hiding from an abusive ex-boyfriend, nurses Kade back to health, an uneasy bond forms between them. They need each other, even if they don’t realize it, and even if they have a hard time accepting it.

Because danger is coming at them from both sides, and they must figure out if they can trust each other.

Before it’s too late.

Review

I generously received this ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review!

Speak No Evil is the second book in the Brotherhood Trilogy written by the extraordinary Jordan Ford (Melissa Pearl)! I thought that nothing could ever compare to the first book, but the author did it again. Even though I loved the first book in this trilogy, Kade’s story has managed to wedged its way into my heart, leaving me with the ultimate book hangover!

rorysniggingbook

The book picks up about two months from where the first one ends. This story follows Kade’s journey after leaving his “family” in the cabin that is owned by Riley’s uncle who has mysteriously disappeared without a trace prior to their arrival. Although Kade loves his “brothers” and is willing to do anything for them, he is sick and tired of hiding out in these isolated mountains that they fled to at the end of the first book after Ana was shot. Leaving his “family” behind, Kade finds himself in Reno with a new identity. Gone is the eighteen year old prep school “runaway” Kade Kingsley and in his place emerges a twenty-one old Karl Hannon. Kade had no intention of staying in Reno, but when he is offered a job and the opportunity to play hockey once again he jumps at the chance, figuring he could make a few extra bucks before finding somewhere else go.
