Review
Block Shot by Kennedy Ryan is the second standalone in the Hoops series and I have got to say that I may have loved Jared and Banner slightly more than August and Iris, although just barely. The author’s writing is beyond incredible and her character development is always on point! My heart goes into overdrive every single time I pick up one of her stories and the emotional rollercoaster I go on time and time again is always worth it.
Ever since devouring Long Shot earlier this year I have wanted to get my hands on another book in this series and although I was really hoping we’d get Lotus and Kenan. However, after reading this one I am so glad that Jared and Banner’s story was first. I absolutely loved these two and the fact that their story was a combination of an enemies-to-lovers and second chance romance made me love it even more. I mean come on those are two of my all-time favorite genres so there was no way I wouldn’t love it. Oh and did I mentioned how hilarious their banter was because it totally was and their chemistry was undeniable!
