Synopsis

Remington Stringer has never been like most girls. She’s outspoken, brazen and wants nothing more than to escape the Nevadan hell hole that she calls home.

On the brink of eighteen, with a deceased mother and a well-meaning, yet absent father, she is forced to fend for herself. The only person she’s ever had to depend on is her borderline obsessive stepbrother, Ryan. But, what used to be her anchor is quickly becoming a loose cannon.

When Remi gets the opportunity to attend the best private school in the state during her senior year of high school, she jumps at the chance. Then she meets Mr. James. Ornery, aloof, and totally irresistible.

Most girls would swoon in secrecy.

Most girls would doodle his name with hearts in their notebook.

But Remi Stringer has never been like most girls.

Review

It is so hard to admit this, but this book happens to be my very first Charleigh Rose read and all I keep asking myself is how in the hell is this even possible?! Why in the world am I only now learning about this extraordinarily talented author? Have I been living under a rock for the past few months? SERIOUSLY. I mean what other amazing stories have I been missing out on, but since this actually happens to be the first full-length novel I won’t beat myself up too much, but from now on I am closely following this author to see what she comes up with next!

Now to move on to the important part of my little rant… OMG! I honestly don’t know where to even begin.

I guess the main thing I have got to say is that I think without a doubt that this may very well be THE best Student/Teacher romance story that I have ever been fortunate enough to read. This book literally blew me away and it was nothing, I repeat nothing like any other Student/Teacher book on the market today. Misbehaved is so much more than a traditional taboo romance story about a beautifully attractive student falling for the hot and sexy teacher. This story has substance and builds up at the perfect pace making sure to captivate every heartstring…

Remington “Remi” Stringer (OMG – I am so totally in love with this name by the way) has been through so much in her first 17, almost 18, years of life. She has seen more bad than good in her life and the only thing that has kept her going was the possibility of one day being strong enough to escape her horrible reality. In many ways I believe that her struggles are what have made her stronger! I absolutely adored this character and loved the raw passion she had for the beautiful things in life as well as the sad things. She is truly one of my most favorite characters ever! And don’t even get me started on Mr. Pierce James. He is perhaps the hottest teacher I could have ever imagined. I can’t even talk about this character without my heart swooning a million miles per hour! He really tried to fight his attraction but come on a man can only fight himself long enough before he reaches his breaking point and must act out on his feelings.

Although there was a ton of amazing romance and chemistry in this story, there was also a lot of sadness. Which is something you need to experience firsthand so don’t worry about me spoiling anything for you, but I will say that you’ll want to free up sometime because the moment you begin this story, there is no way freaking way that you are going to want to put it down. Trust me. That was exactly what happened to me when I was “forced” to set it down for a few hours.

Thank you Charleigh Rose for writing such a phenomenal story and I cannot wait to see what you come up with next…
