People always leave.
After graduating from college, Cameron Pratt’s spending the summer with her best friend, Grace Shea. There’s only one problem. Her brother, Jacob, will be there too.
Jacob Shea. Only one word describes him. Douchebag.
His touch doesn’t make her body tremble.
His eyes don’t see her heart.
He’s nothing to her and she wants nothing to do with him.
When Jacob finds out Cameron’s in town, he’s doing everything he can to win back her trust and make her see how good they’ll be together.
Will Jacob be able to open Cameron’s eyes, or will the walls around her heart be too high and unbreakable?
I generously received this ARC from Give Me Books in exchange for an honest review…
Can I just begin by saying that this was a beautifully captivating and well written second chance romance… This is nowhere near my first S. Moose novel, but it is perhaps the best one yet! I quickly devoured this beautiful story in only a matter of hours (stayed up way to late and almost overslept this morning) because the moment I started reading it I couldn’t put it down. S. Moose is an amazingly talented author who manages to capture my heart in a new way every single time I start a new story from her. From the very beginning this book had my heart soaring in anticipation for this extraordinarily original couple.
Cameron and Jake couldn’t be more different and yet that is what makes this story work. These two had my mind going a million miles an hour just to keep up with them and I loved every minute of it. Since there isn’t really much I can say without giving away the entire story (or summarizing the synopsis), I will leave you with this – If you are looking for a book filled with adult angst and a sweet second chance romance, then this is the book for you!
